Lolo Makani Designs is inventing the future of sailing through applied aerodynamics research on kiteboarding race kites.
Our 2011 goals:
- Team member Adam Koch wins the 2011 world kiteboarding championships using our technology
- Develop four sizes of pre-production kites: 7m, 9m, 11m, 15m manufactured in the USA
- Develop a proof-of-concept flying prototype rigid double-surface tail-less wing for kiteboarding
Our team is uniquely qualified to achieve these goals with the proper financial backing to fund research, patenting, and pre-production processes.
Our location on Maui (a global destination for windsports) is ideal for research and development of the next generation of ultralight sailing and flying craft.
Our vision is that aerodynamic wings must replace traditional sails/kites for all wind-powered craft.
